When it comes to love languages, mine is gift-giving — especially the handmade kind. However, as much as I’d love to knit a sweater for every friend and their dog, time’s not exactly on my side. Cue Thimble Blossoms Merry Stockings Quilting Pattern!
I took a break from my current works in progress to create these fun (and incredibly quick!) Christmas stockings for knitting friends.
We’re having a little holiday swap this week, and I can’t wait to gift these stockings to them filled, with special treats like macaroons and tea!
What’s great about Thimble Blossoms Merry Stockings quilting pattern is that it comes with a stocking template that allows you to craft four different variations, including simple patchwork, log cabin, flying geese, and stars.
For my stockings, I opted for the simple patchwork version, using fabric from a Ruby Star Society Layer Cake called “Reading Nook” .
This fabric collection features prints of cats, books, and tea—basically, a snapshot of me and my knitting friends.
I appreciate how it doesn’t scream “Christmas” but still exudes a festive vibe with pops of teal, magenta, and gold.
What’s more, I love the speed, enjoyment, and ease that went into creating these stockings. They were a breeze to whip up, and I can easily envision making more as holiday gifts. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having a few of these hanging around all year long!
If you’re looking for a quick and easy hand-made holiday gift to give, look no further than Thimble Blossoms’ “Merry Stockings” pattern. It’s the perfect project for spreading that handmade cheer in a pinch!
